Do you want your guests to talk about your wedding for weeks, months, years afterwards? Then there is something that you should plan really well – the entertainment. I have put together a list with the best ideas so you can throw the best and most creative wedding party of the year.

Music

I can’t stress this enough; music is the key on a wedding. If there is something you should spend your money on it’s a really great live band. A good sound system and an awesome repertoire will keep the party going all night long. Nothing makes a party so boring as a random Spotify-list, or even worse, no music at all! Sweden is a genuine country of music and there are some great musicians out there. Rather choose a short time with some really high quality than a friend who actually can’t play at all.

Entertainment for the kids

If your party is kids friendly, then it’s a must to arrange some kids’ friendly activities in a separate room or corner. Place both of the parents near the kids, not on the other side of the room. This will make the whole family more relaxed and both the parents can be there in a whole different way and in the same time have some control of their kids. You could also rent a nanny for the occasion. Things that YOU can arrange is face paint, games, balloons, coloring books, soap bubbles, masquerade.

Games and competitions

There is plenty of games to organize during the mingle. Everything from ping-pong to cricket, all games that bring people together is great!

Fire

No matter how big or small the wedding you plan, a sparking fire is always a good idea. To have a nice bonfire and grill some marshmallows is super cozy. No matter the season!

Props for the guests

There is one thing that will bring all the guests together -everybody wants to have a good time! No matter if you get a number of masks to take some fun photos with or just to put on the dinner table so the guest have something to talk about.

Partytheme

Take it one step further than the previous tips and arrange a theme wedding with a dress code that matches the theme. A real icebreaker I can promise.

Photobooth

Rent a photobooth and put in a corner. Usually some accessories are included. Hilarious to watch afterwards!

Glowsticks

So much fun and easy entertaining. It never gets boring when the guests get a glowstick in their hand during the party!

Food truck

Book a food truck to cater for the whole dinner or at least for some night snacks.

On the Swedish west coast recommend Boho bar!

Drink-truck

If the above sounds good then this is almost better; book a drink-truck that makes the drinks.

Highly entertaining for both adults and kids

Piñata

Ok, totally not Swedish but dare to be different and do your own thing!

Fill it with candy and hang it in a tree or somewhere inside. Maybe instead of a cake?

Why settle for an ordinary cake when there are so many amazing cakemakers out there? Order a masterpiece that will make the guest drop the jaw.
